Who we are
Lions Lane is a digital marketing and growth company based in Kiambu and Nairobi, Kenya. This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through this website. We aim to follow the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.
What we collect
- Details you give us when you book a call: your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, business name, goal, preferred day and time, and anything you write in your message.
- Brand diagnostic answers. These are scored in your browser and are not sent to us, unless you choose to include your results in an enquiry.
- Usage information, such as the pages you visit and the buttons you click, when analytics is switched on. We use it in aggregate to improve the site.
How we use it
We use your details to reply to you, arrange and hold your strategy call, prepare a proposal if you ask for one, and follow up on that conversation. We do this on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. We do not sell your data, and we do not add you to marketing lists without your permission.
Browser storage
The site uses your browser's session storage to remember choices you make as you move between pages, such as a goal or package you selected, so the booking form can be filled in for you. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab.
If we switch on analytics, the site first asks for your permission. Nothing is measured until you accept. If you accept, Google Analytics sets its own cookies to count visits in aggregate, and local storage remembers your choice so we do not ask again. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer. We do not use advertising cookies.
Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that help us run the site and respond to you, and only as far as they need it to provide that service: Vercel, which hosts this website; Supabase, which stores the booking requests you send us; and Google, whose Gmail service delivers each booking request to our inbox so we can reply. If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp (Meta) handles those messages under its own privacy policy. Some of these providers store data outside Kenya; we use them under their data protection agreements. We may disclose data where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to respond and, if you become a client, for the length of our relationship and any period the law requires afterwards. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to be informed about how your data is used, to access it, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to its processing, and to withdraw your consent. To use any of these rights, contact us. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and we limit access to enquiry data to the people who need it to respond. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive information such as passwords or payment details through the form.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site and our services change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
